Never mind the lint. Ha. My feet have been doing well so far, knock on wood. I have noticed numbness while running or on my feet for too long...but my sugars are decent so I'm not immediately worried about neuropathy.
I kinda dig these little purple lancets. It really is the little things that make you smile with the big D. It is like getting new toys when something fun or new comes out on the market.
I found an old test strip on my stairwell this morning; not even sure it is mine. If I test on average 7-10 times a day, and I have been (diagnosed) Diabetic for 606 days, that would roughly mean I have tested my BS about 5300 times. I probably could leave an Accu-Chek trail from here to London by now...ha.
This is what I roll with in my purse, pretty much everyday. Apple juice as it acts the quickest for me; Almonds for a quick snack, tides me over; "Sugar-goo" for quick fast-acting glucose; raisins...they work for me! I'm a walking snack kiosk. Ha, ha.
Inspired by the Diabetes 365 project, I decided to post a Diabetes related pic every day. I thought it would be a great way to chronicle my 2nd year in the world of the big D. And a potential way to release the frustrations via blog-land and not on my friends. Or my clients.
