Bills, Bills, Bills. 138 mg/dL

I am so grateful to have insurance!  When I was diagnosed I didn't and it made for some scary days; no one should ever have to decide between food, shelter and insulin! I'm thankful that I persevered and was granted some sponsorships from Lily and Accu-check-and I am also happy to report I JUST paid off the hospital bills!  Yay...$10,000 could have bought me a car...a trip around the world...a move to NYC...but it bought me my LIFE.  And I can't be sad about that.

Needle disposal. 106mg/dL

For some reason I have my needle disposal containers atop my fridge.  I'm not sure why I haven't tossed any of them yet.  I was hoping to use all the used strips for an art project one day...but maybe I just keep them there to remind me that I've made it this far.  Like a victory reminder or something.  I dunno.

Bret Michaels Wins Celebrity Apprentice!

I'm glad he won for the cause! Also, while I am sad he is struggling so much with his health, I am super happy he is beating everything and still coming out on top.  Did I ever mention that I almost named my youngest brother "Bret Michaels" due to my young crush?  Caleb, you are SO lucky mom didn't agree! xo

Foot Check! 154 mg/dL

Never mind the lint.  Ha. My feet have been doing well so far, knock on wood.  I have noticed numbness while running or on my feet for too long...but my sugars are decent so I'm not immediately worried about neuropathy.

Lancet Love. 143 mg/dL

I kinda dig these little purple lancets.  It really is the little things that make you smile with the big D.  It is like getting new toys when something fun or new comes out on the market.
